CereScan Lunch and Learn Series: How Brain Function Influences Mental Health
Psychologists, counselors, therapists and other mental health professionals are invited
to a series of informative lunchtime learning sessions. Our featured speakers will discuss
a variety of topics related to brain health and function.
Wednesday August 18: Research, Brain Scans and TBI with Patrick Hurley, PhD.
Dr. Hurley earned his doctorate in biology with a specialization in neuroscience from
Wesleyan University. At the National Institutes of Health, his research focused on the
relationship between changes in the brain and changes in behavior. He currently
blogs
about brain health for CereScan.
Friday September 10: The Neurobiology of Addiction with Charles Park, MD
Dr. Park is a psychiatrist with the Denver VA Substance Abuse Treatment Program and a
specialist in addiction psychiatry and research.
Wednesday, October 13: Maintaining a Healthy Brain with Fred Grover, MD, FAAFP
Dr. Grover is a Board Certified Family Physician with a passion for integrative and antiaging
medicine. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the University
of Colorado Denver and favors a personalized approach to health focused on diet,
