Denver Clinic Staff

Julie Banta, Vice President of Patient and Provider Care
Julie is the primary contact for prospective patients, referring physicians and attorneys.  She has a background in counseling and has worked in the brain imaging field for seven years. As the mother of a child who was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder, Julie knows first-hand how brain SPECT imaging can help provide clarity for patients battling often mysterious brain function issues.

“I always hoped that there was a better, more accurate way for people with brain based behavior to find out what is truly going on with their brain function.  Once I learned about SPECT imaging, I realized this was what I was looking for."

Jenny Faherty, Clinical Director
Jenny works with patients, conducting intake interviews, clinical assessments and review sessions about their brain scan reports.
Before entering the brain imaging field five years ago, she worked as a psychotherapist. Jenny became interested in brain imaging because understanding brain function can help people manage brain disorders.

“I have worked with more than 1,000 brain imaging patients and there are more stories of positive impact than I can recount. In nearly every case, the brain imaging results told patients a story about themselves that no one else has been able to tell them. “

Nikki Villegas-Mauter, Director of Neurological Resources
Nikki works closely with physicians who review the scans to ensure that they have all the patient information they need to evaluate the scans and process the images accurately. She has a degree in neuroscience and has worked in the brain imaging field for six years. Nikki is dedicated to making patients feel as comfortable as possible when they visit CereScan.

“I believe every patient should be treated with compassion and respect. I strive to provide personal attention to every patient and to make each experience a positive one.”

Visha Patel, Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Visha walks patients through every step of the imaging procedure, from explaining the process to positioning patients on the camera bed and capturing images. Visha has a degree in Medical Laboratory Science and has served as a certified nuclear medicine technologist for more than three years. She entered the brain imaging field to help people in need.

“Patient care is the most important part of any healthcare setting. It is essential to provide a safe and friendly environment to patients.”
